About Stressmanagers

The Past

The Stressmanagers group has its roots the early 1990s and developed out of the earlier stress management organisations Lambourn Court International plc and stressmanagers.co.uk., gaining strength from various associations and affiliations along the way. In recent years, and now as the recently incorporated Stressmanagers Ltd., the group has developed and refined its own training and CPD programmes, based very much on the experience in practice of group members, who together have delivered tens of thousands of hours of practical therapy in both corporate and private practice.

The Present

Today’s group consists of some 30-40 practitioners and associates, including current trainees, novice practitioners and well-established trainers/ practitioners who specialise in various aspects of private therapy and corporate contract work. New members are welcome to join the group at any time, either as established therapists who wish to benefit from the support benefits of the group or those interested in training – perhaps to begin a career in the profession or just for their own personal development.

The Future

The group wishes to remain at a size where individuals can be truly valued and supported, but which is large enough to undertake large corporate contracts and training programmes. It is the aim of the group to remain at the forefront of regulatory compliance and best operational practice within the stress management profession.

Membership is open to anyone who shares the group’s values and is prepared to contribute to the professional welfare of other members. The group is largely non-profitmaking and invests any surplus funds into the services provided to members.

Who Needs a Support Group?

Stress management can be a lonely, caring profession and Stressmanagers Ltd., places high importance on the ongoing personal and professional support that a cohesive professional grouping can provide. The ability to consult colleagues, obtain peer supervision and develop social networks with like-minded professionals has proved to be greatly beneficial to members old and new.
