What’s the Point?

Stress management and Hypnotherapy are hitherto unregulated by government, but this is unlikely to remain the case for much longer and the group strongly supports moves to ensure high professional standards throughout its areas of activity.

Stress management is a fast-moving profession and new information, both in the world of work and therapy, is constantly becoming available for practitioners to assimilate. It is for this reason that all members of the group are required to update their skills on a regular basis and must prove high levels of CPD involvement in order to remain within the group. CPD can take the form of personal and professional skills development; further training and education; professional achievements, including lectures, presentations and publications, and attendance at qualifying events, including the group’s own MasterClass programme.

CPD Costs and Conditions

Masterclasses

Attendance at quarterly MasterClasses is free* to members and charged at £90 per weekend for non-members (special rates apply for partners, family members and group associates). Prospective students, and anyone wishing to familiarise themselves with the group and its operations, are invited to attend one MasterClass free of charge*.

* Individuals must cover their own costs for accommodation and meals, but these are normally available at highly cost-effective rates when booked through the group.

The group is always looking for specialist speakers to present at its MasterClasses and workshops: anyone interested should contact the MasterClass Speaker Organiser. The group is a challenging and lively forum, where the atmosphere is lighthearted and highly interactive. However, visitors need not worry about presentations being too technical or specialised : everyone is made to feel welcome and encouraged to participate.

Professional Courses

Members can benefit from special rates on various professional courses supported by the group. Details of these will be advertised regularly on this website.

CPD Programme costs

Membership of the Stressmangers CareTaker® and CareTaker Plus® are currently available to members free of charge. The charge to non-members for these programmes is currently £450 per year.
